Hi, I’m Emily.

(She/Her/Hers)

I grew up on Oʻahu as a hapa girl — second-generation Japanese-American and part White. My biracial identity taught me early about holding multiple perspectives, listening deeply, and appreciating the many ways culture and family shape who we are. These experiences ground the way I show up as a psychologist today: with openness, curiosity, and a commitment to honoring the whole of who you are.

I’m also a mother and a caregiver to my parents. Outside of my work, I find joy in gardening, baking, and spending time with family. These personal roles remind me daily of the importance of presence, patience, and compassion — qualities I strive to bring into every therapy session.

More About Me

My Approach

I help people change their relationship with anxiety and self-doubt by guiding them to address the roots of the problem. By focusing on the past and the present as well as working to uncover more of your emotions and needs, we can better understand how things got stuck and empower you to chart a new path forward.

More About Me

A Space Just for You

If you are someone who gives a lot to others yet struggles quietly inside with self-doubt, unmet needs, or a relentless inner critic, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can be a space where all parts of you are welcomed — your feelings, your cultural background, your story — and where healing happens moment by moment.
